Kelly Margolis Dagger Selected as CJA Panel Attorney District Representative
Kelly Margolis Dagger was recently selected as the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel Attorney District Representative for the Eastern District of North Carolina (EDNC). She is currently serving a three-year term where she will lead the district CJA panel, and serve as the liaison between the CJA panel and the federal defender organization, the court, and the AO’s Office of Defender Services. In addition to attending the annual National Conference of CJA Panel Attorney District Representatives, Kelly will provide comment on proposed legislation relating to the CJA, and work toward improving the quality of representation, as well as the conditions under which panel attorneys provide representation.
Kelly is a trial and appellate lawyer who focuses her practice on business litigation, employment litigation, and criminal defense. She devotes a substantial part of her practice to federal criminal law and adjacent civil proceedings.
