Jeff Warren to present on “Giglio letters” at the Southern States Police Benevolent Association’s 2024 Attorney Seminar.
Jeff Warren, an attorney in the firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina office, will appear at the Southern States Police Benevolent Association’s 2024 Attorney Seminar on April 26, 2024 to present on “Giglio letters,” their impact on law enforcement, and best practices for pursuing claims against prosecutors who write them. The SSPBA is comprised 65,000 law enforcement officers employed by federal, state, county and municipal governments across eleven states.
Jeff has pioneered novel causes of action in North Carolina arising from the issuance of Giglio letters, and his research discussing the liability that can attach to Giglio letters has been cited by practitioners of constitutional litigation in multiple jurisdictions. Jeff’s legal practice includes constitutional litigation, medical malpractice defense, product liability defense, and the defense of educational and religious institutions. In addition to this practice mix, Jeff assists clients in preparing legislation and achieving their objectives in state government, and Bills authored by Jeff have been introduced and passed in the North Carolina General Assembly with bipartisan support.
