Jeff Warren Files Amicus Brief on Behalf of Southern States Police Benevolent Association as Amicus Curiae

Jeff Warren represented the Southern States Police Benevolent Association as amicus curiae before the North Carolina Supreme Court. Jeff’s co-counsel was former North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Robert Orr. The case involved a former North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper who was accused of lacking “good moral character.” Jeff argued that the definition of “good moral character” was unconstitutionally vague, and that North Carolina’s constitution protected the trooper’s right to earn a living. The full article, “Police group takes interest in ‘good moral character’,” can be found in The Carolina Journal. Read Jeff’s full brief here.
