Ellis & Winters named among ‘Leading Lawyers for Business’
Ellis & Winters
The 2006 edition of Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business lauds Ellis & Winters LLP as one of the top five law firms in North Carolina in the area of antitrust litigation and as one of the top 15 law firms in North Carolina in the area of general commercial litigation. Ellis & Winters was, by far, the smallest law firm selected for these accolades. One client reported to Chambers USA that the Ellis & Winters antitrust practice has “outstanding lawyers and are our first choice for representation.”
The publication also heralded Matthew W. Sawchak and Richard W. Ellis. Matt Sawchak was ranked in the top 10 for antitrust litigation. Chambers USA describes Dick Ellis as “thorough and professional” and “the go-to attorney for tort and complex litigation matters.”
Formed in 2000, Ellis & Winters provides full services in trial and appellate practice in state and federal courts, and in commercial real estate, finance, and general corporate law. During 2005, the firm’s lawyers have argued cases in the North Carolina Supreme Court, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and both state appellate courts, and have tried multi-week cases before juries in several counties.
