Packer Speaks on Court Conduct Best Practices at NCBA Program

On December 13, 2012,  Ellis & Winters lawyer Leslie Packer was among the speakers at the NCBA program "A View from the Bench" at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina. The program focused on the critical line between zeal and discourteous conduct. Ms. Packer and Judge Thomas Schroeder of the Middle District of North Carolina discussed best practices for evidentiary motions, particularly motions to exclude expert testimony under Daubert and Rule 702 of the North Carolina Rule of Evidence. Other speakers included private practitioners and judges from the North Carolina Superior Courts, North Carolina Court of Appeals, and United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. The program will be replayed across the state.
