Ellis & Winters lawyer Lauren Miller Golden recently spoke at the North Carolina Bar Association’s 37th Annual Bankruptcy Institute. Hosted at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville on November 7—8, 2014, the program featured a roster of dynamic speakers on the latest developments and trends in bankruptcy law. Ms. Golden spoke on a panel entitled “Fourth Circuit and North Carolina Case Update,” which highlighted important opinions from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and North Carolina federal bankruptcy courts.

Lauren Golden practices in the areas of litigation, bankruptcy, and creditors’ rights. She joined Ellis & Winters in 2012 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Rich Leonard, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Prior to her clerkship, Ms. Golden received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Campbell University Law School. Ms. Golden graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration.
