Falcone and Weiss Selected to Serve as Leadership on Defense Research Institute Young Lawyers Steering Committee

Ellis & Winters lawyers Jeremy Falcone and Jamie Weiss have been selected to serve on the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Young Lawyers Steering Committee.

Jeremy Falcone will serve as chair of the Legislative Liaison Subcommittee, a network of volunteers throughout the country who report legislative changes to the entire DRI membership through various publications. Mr. Falcone is a partner in the litigation group at Ellis & Winters LLP. He assists individuals and companies in all stages of litigation, splitting his practice between commercial and tort matters. Mr. Falcone has been named to North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine’s “Rising Stars” list since 2013 and has been selected for Business North Carolina’s 2014 “Legal Elite,” in the Young Guns category.

Jamie Weiss will serve as the chair of the Supreme Court Subcommittee, the committee responsible for publishing quarterly updates on the U.S. Supreme Court’s docket and opinions, and planning the annual trip to Washington, DC for a group of 12 DRI members to be sworn in to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.  Mr. Weiss focuses his litigation practice in the areas of higher education, complex business disputes, and departing employees. Mr. Weiss has been listed as a North Carolina Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in business litigation since 2013.
