Ellis & Winters Ranked as a Leading Firm in North Carolina by Chambers USA

Ellis & Winters LLP is again ranked as a leading firm in North Carolina in the 2017 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. The firm has been given high ratings in each of its primary areas of practice: antitrust, bankruptcy/restructuring, litigation, and real estate.

Chambers USA gives its top rating in North Carolina to the firm’s litigation practice, stating the firm remains an “excellent litigation boutique with in-depth experience of state and federal courts, as well as a variety of arbitral tribunals.” Clients gave the firm high praise, describing the work of Ellis & Winters lawyers as “very competent, responsive and client-focused, with first-rate communication.”

The firm also received Chambers’ highest rating in the state in antitrust. The organization calls the firm’s antitrust practice a “well-regarded group undertaking the spectrum of antitrust work, including government investigations, civil litigation and counseling.  Particularly active within the healthcare market, fielding significant experience in acting for state licensing boards.  Also noted for its extensive unfair trade practices expertise.”

The publication commended the firm’s bankruptcy practice, stating that the group is known as having “expertise in both transactional and litigation matters.”

The firm’s real estate practice is also highly rated, with Chambers noting that the team is known for “comprehensive offering in the commercial real estate space, with particular expertise in transactional and leasing matters.”  Chambers research sources state “we could not do what we do without them.”
