Ellis & Winters lawyer Chris Jackson has been appointed to the Litigation Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA).
The Litigation Section takes the lead in addressing changes in the rules of civil procedure, the ethics rules, and other statutes affecting civil litigation. The section sponsors CLE programs and services, provides members with a substantive newsletter, and helps mold the NCBA's legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly.
About Chris Jackson
Chris Jackson focuses his litigation practice on complex commercial disputes and tort matters. He has represented a wide range of individual and corporate clients in state and federal courts, ranging from medical device manufacturers, banks, and universities to youth sports organizations and community volunteers. Aside from his litigation practice, Mr. Jackson also has experience counseling medical providers on compliance with privacy laws and remediation efforts following data breaches.
In addition to his leadership role with the NCBA, Mr. Jackson serves as vice chair of the Wake Forest University School of Law Young Alumni Board. He received his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. Mr. Jackson received his B.A., cum laude, from Boston College.
