Alex Hagan, head of the litigation practice at Ellis & Winters, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for The Foundation of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). He will serve a three-year term beginning November 1st. The Foundation works to serve as a platform for educating the public and the legal community on current litigation issues and supporting the integrity of the legal system throughout the world.
Alex Hagan is a trial lawyer whose practice includes product liability defense, as well as the defense of laboratories, hospitals, and individual health care providers. Additionally, Mr. Hagan has extensive commercial litigation experience, representing software manufacturers, retail chains, and other product manufacturers in contract, trademark and employment disputes. He has considerable jury trial experience in tort and commercial matters in both state and federal court. In addition to IADC, Mr. Hagan serves on the Board of Directors for Eagle International Associates, Inc., as Committee Vice-Chair and incoming Committee Chair for The Defense Research Institute (DRI) Medical Liability and Health Care Law Committee, and was selected to serve on the faculty for IADC’s Trial Academy in 2015. Mr. Hagan has been listed in North Carolina Super Lawyers Magazine and The Best Lawyers in America ® since 2006, having been named Best Lawyers’ 2015 Raleigh “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants.
